Three of these stories, for me, were very enjoyable. The first one, Monster Hall Pass by Bru Baker, was my favorite and I was sorry when it ended, although it ended well. Ive not read this author before that I remember but I will definitely check out more. The characters were immensely likable and the story drew me in immediately.Kismet and Cadavers by Jenn Moffat was also very good. Another new author for me to explore. Again, likable characters and engaging story.Wolf at First Sight by Rhys Ford was fun and again, great characters. Her description of Joe's finding out about shifters was very well done. Also loved Levi's son Declan's "transformation" at camp. You gotta love teenagers. I was glad to see this author involved in this analogy. I loved her Cole McGinnis and 415 Ink (PLEASE write book 4) books.I had a little trouble with Elf Shot by TA Moore. (I still haven't forgiven her for giving one of her characters the horrible name of Cloister in one of her other books.) This story was a little too weird and strange for me. It almost felt like a dystopian world and I don't like those kind of stories at all. I was not able to finish this particular one. I will admit that she really is a good writer and my dislike of this story should in no way discourage others from reading her books. This was just not my taste. This anthology had something for everyone: vampires, shifters, witches, and fae. My favorite was Rhys Ford’s Wolf at First Sight, a short story in her Wayward Wolves “series,” which has been stuck at one book for some time, and I hope she writes more of. It’s well worth the money just for this story, but the others are also really good. I was familiar with TA Moore’s books, but I didn’t think this was her best. It got a little confusing at times. Monster Hall Pass, featuring a vampire and a fae, was my second favorite. The anthology starts strong and ends strong, and even if Elf Shot was not my favorite Moore work, the middle two stories were strong, too. This is one of the best anthologies I’ve read.
