When will the next book be out? Like really, I need it.Edin is the lovable, BFF monster of Wyn in book one. Hunter is a monster battered soldier who is BFF with Charlie.Charlie is kidnapped and Edin finds Hunter in a sinkhole. This happens in the first few chapters so I don't consider it a spoiler. Edin, who likes to help people and monsters alike, decides he's bored and Hunter is entertaining so he'll help weather Hunter wants it or not. And even though he finds out he needs the help, Hunter definitely does not want Edin's help, at first. Soon though Hunter starts thinking of them as a team as getting Charlie back proves to be a much bigger job than anyone though. We get to see Danny and Wyn again and............. SPOILER................ we also get to see some revenge settled from book one. We get to which is very awesome.Anyways. We get to see Hunter who is insecure about his damaged body be completely accepted by Edin no questions asked. We get to see Hunter really struggle with a lot of things in this book. Mainly with his attitude of jump first and worry about the rest later which Edin seems to have to rescue him from most times. We also see some really hot scenes between the two that don't overwhelm the story but adds to it.I really want the next book. Where as I liked Wyn and Danny instantly, Edin and Hunter took a bit more work to warm up to.I loved Edin in the first book, he was a fun addition and such a sweet giant who is almost too loyal to the ones he cares for, which we get to see in this book.Hunter was brash and at some times mean without meaning to, he had plenty of walls and it was nice seeing him lower them as the book progressed.I thought the rescue Charlie plot was a bit drawn out and rather anti-climactic when it finally happened. It needed the life or death situation.Even with how long Hunter had been without a limb I'm surprised he didn't have more trouble with how much they were walking and how unsanitary it was. There were never any issues from one day to the next, no matter how far he walked.It's also a depressing feeling that Wyn who imprinted on Danny and found his soulmate after twelve thousand years will only have him for like fifty or so more.I understand where the author is coming from but it sort of dampens the joy when they find each other.I like the variety of monsters and the planning that's gone in to each of them.
