The cover drew me in, the blurb hooked me and the story kept me engaged! This book had everything I love in a small town romance - big, loud, meddling family; sexy cowboys; town gossip; family secrets and jealous exes. And dang it, Sophie’s love for her old horse had me tearing up - I am a sucker for a girls everlasting love for her horse.When Sophie’s beloved grandmother passes away, she is faced with going back to her families ranch after almost 20 years away and a truckload of pain and heartache in tow. Thinking the worst of her father and his new “family” - Sophie holds a lot of anger and trusts no one to put her feelings or her heart first. So when Braxton stomps into her life on the ranch with his no nonsense attitude and sexy behind- she is forced to face the hard truths about her family.Sophia and Braxton’s love story is big city meets small town country mixed with enemies to lovers and is dang sexy!! While Braxton may have resented her city flare - I loved that at her heart Sophie was a country girl and not afraid to get a little dirty and help out on the ranch. I really enjoyed the overall arc of the story and the character building, including several of the side characters who provided some funny antics.
